The “Krobo” bench, designed by Torbjørn Afdal in the 1960s and manufactured by Mellemstrands Møbelfabrikk in Norway, is an emblematic example of the strictest Nordic modernism. Made of teak, it features a slender top with a slightly raised edge and trestle legs with essential geometry. Measured proportions and solid construction also allow it to be used as a coffee table. The original manufacturer’s label is present. Afdal, among the leading figures in postwar Norwegian design, is known for elegant and functional production, characterized by pure lines and great craftsmanship. Good condition.
