An icon of 1960s/’70s Scandinavian lighting, Anders Pehrson’s “Simris” for Ateljé Lyktan combines technical precision and visual lightness. The low leather-covered base (cognac tone with stitching), double chrome-plated metal upright, and sliding arm with ivory-colored circular knob define fluid, clean ergonomics. The cylindrical lacquered head swivels and tilts; the concentric louvre diffuser softens the beam by reducing glare, a stylistic hallmark of Pehrson’s lamps.
Normal signs of time; light abrasions and small traces of use on the lacquered head, small stains on the leather of the base; working electrical system.
