Ceiling lamp that recalls the “Pallas” model, designed in 1968 by Studio Tetrarch for Artemide at the height of the Space Age season. The collective, composed of Adelaide Bonati, Silvio Bonatti, Enrico De Munari and Carla Federspiel, developed research oriented toward essential geometric forms, synthetic materials and light experimentation, central themes of radical Italian design of the period. The term Space Age identifies the futurist language born during the space race, characterized by spherical volumes, plastic surfaces and intense colors. The compact silhouette and saturated orange color perfectly reflect this aesthetic. The polished plastic body diffuses a soft, even light while maintaining a strong sculptural presence even when the lamp is turned off. Good condition. May show some signs of aging. Please pay attention to the photographs.
