Produced by Nybro Armaturfabrik AB in the second half of the twentieth century, these Swedish bed lamps reflect the essential language of Scandinavian lighting of the 1950s. The chrome-plated metal frame develops a linear, unobtrusive silhouette, lightened by the flexible arm that allows the light to be easily directed. Cylindrical diffusers, internally lacquered in white, generate clean, direct illumination, while the clamp system allows attachment to headboards, shelves or thin tops. The understated proportions and functional construction recall the Nordic rationalist aesthetic of the period, balancing industrial production and attention to detail. Manufacturer’s label present.
