Pair of chairs designed by Henning Kjærnulf for Sorø Stolefabrik in the 1960s, evidence of Danish research into the relationship between ergonomics, joinery and material quality. The teak frame has soft, continuous joints, with tapered armrests that develop into the side uprights according to an organic language typical of Scandinavian modernism. The curved backrest accompanies the line of the upholstered seat covered in black wool, creating an essential yet recognizable visual balance. The quality of construction reflects the approach of Kjærnulf, a designer known for his attention to solid woodwork and proportions. Good condition. May show some signs of age. Please pay attention to the photographs.
