General Terms and Conditions

These general conditions of sale have as their object the purchase of movable goods, made at a distance and made available, through the Internet, from the site www.casafika.it in compliance with the Italian regulations set forth in Legislative Decree No. 206 of 2005 as subsequently amended and supplemented (hereinafter, “Consumer Code”) and Legislative Decree No. 70 of 2003 implementing Directive 2000/31/EC.

  1. By browsing and making a purchase within this website(casafika.co.uk), you agree to what is expressed in the following “Terms and Conditions of Sale”.
  2. Please read the “Terms and Conditions of Sale” carefully before placing an order. If anything is unclear, or if there is any doubt, please do not hesitate to contact us.
  3. The “Terms and Conditions” do not affect your legal rights.

Proposed Furniture and Product Specifications

  1. Most items sold by CASAFIKA are vintage, so in the product specifications they will be clearly described as such.
    What does it mean to purchase an item marked as vintage?
    CASAFIKA is committed and spends a great deal of time carefully restoring each product, however, points out that some natural wear and tear is likely to remain-“we believe this adds to the overall appeal of each item as it makes it truly unique.”
    CASAFIKA strives to provide very clear and detailed photographs of each product, however, if you would like further clarification on the condition of an item, please contact us before making your purchase. We are very happy to answer any questions and prefer that our customers make an informed decision before committing to purchase.
  2. Due to color limitations and variations between monitors, there may be slight variations in color from what is displayed.
  3. Since these are original furnishings, the characteristics given in the description sheets are derived from CASAFIKA’s evaluations, reported after careful inspection of individual products.
  4. The photos used for the product sheets truly represent the purchasable product.

Prices

  1. The selling prices of the products specified on the site are the final prices.
  2. All prices shown on the site are in Euros (€).
  3. Shipping costs are explicitly indicated for each product before purchase and are to be considered inclusive of VAT. Delivery or shipping costs vary according to the weight and volume of individual packages, so they are made explicit on the site separately from the furniture prices .

Method of Purchase and Payment

  1. The purchase of available products, can be made by the Customer at the price shown in the relevant product sheets, plus any delivery or shipping costs.
  2. The Customer may request to delay the delivery/shipping of the furniture and the simultaneous deposit at our warehouse, provided that the balance of payment is made. The deposit is free for the first month, after which it will cost € 1.00 per day.
  3. Payment Methods accepted for purchase at www.casafika.it are:
      • PayPal: provides for both using your PayPal account (first item on the “Pay with your PayPal account” screen) and paying by credit card or prepaid card while not having a PayPal account (second item on the “Don’t have a PayPal account?” screen).
      • Bank transfer according to the data that will be sent
      • Pay and collect (at our warehouse in Roncadelle – BS )
  4. Payment for the order placed must be made within 7 days from the date of the order. After that date, the order will be automatically cancelled and the product put back on sale.
  5. For added security only our payment service provider has access to the data of the card used for payment, while CASAFIKA has no way of knowing or storing the data.

Shipping, Pickup and Inventory

  1. CASAFIKA strives to ship the purchased items within 3 days after receipt of payment, but is not responsible for any delays in delivery, dependent on the courier or postal operator.
  2. If an item arrives damaged, notify CASAFIKA within 24 hours. You may be asked to send photographs of the damage so that a formal complaint can be made to the postal manager.
  3. CASAFIKA uses only trusted couriers to deliver its large/mobile items throughout Italy.
  4. When ordering, please write in the notes if delivery is to be made to LTZ, inconvenient areas or Minor Islands as you will be budgeted an additional charge.
    Once you have purchased an item, you will be contacted by the courier within the next 7 business days (via e-mail or text message) to arrange delivery.
    Note: It is the responsibility of each customer to ensure that the item ordered fits all access points and space provided.
  5. CASAFIKA takes the utmost care to ensure the best possible service to the Customer; therefore, we guarantee delivery to the floor upon request for bulky items such as sideboards, sideboards, dining tables, dressers. For small furniture, the use of express couriers with road delivery is possible. The carrier will agree by phone on the delivery directly with the customer.
    To take advantage of the porterage service, it is necessary to make a request by e-mail before placing the order in order to know the exact price before the payment of the object. References of transport companies will be given at the time of shipment.
  6. Delivery-unless otherwise agreed upon-is intended to be outside the home curbside (i.e., as per contract, the courier is not required to unload the goods); any deliveries with a tail lift (to bring the item to street level) will be agreed upon at the time of purchase with our shipping manager.
  7. In the event that the customer instead indicates direct pickup as the mode of delivery, it must be made within 7 days of payment. In case of failure to collect within the terms, CASAFIKA reserves the right to charge a daily fee for the safekeeping of the sold item equal to € 1.00 for each day of delay, up to the amount of the price paid, with cancellation of the order in case the safekeeping charges exceed the amount available to the seller.
  8. The time it takes for a payment to be credited is not attributable to the shipping delay.
  9. CASAFIKA does its best to ensure that the products arrive in the best condition but we cannot be held responsible for any damage resulting from any delay incurred during transportation.
  10. We ask the customer to provide a delivery address where someone is always present, and a phone number where there is always availability. In the event of non-delivery, the courier may contact you or leave a passing note with instructions to follow.

  12. The cost of shipping includes packing, which will always be done.
  13. Shipments are made only upon registration of payment.
    (In the case of wire transfer it takes four to five working days).

Packaging Guidelines

Given the material handled, CASAFIKA pays special attention to packaging methodologies.
Depending on the type of object to be shipped, different packaging will be opted for, ranging from a single covering with bubble wrap or cardboard, to more complex coverings.
Packaging will take place after disassembly of the object, if possible.
The packaging material is non-returnable.
The operation will be concluded with labeling and transport documentation.

Warranties and Documentation

  1. Certificates – For all purchases made through www.casafika.it, we provide our Certificates of Authenticity (labels printed by us, attesting to the origin and authenticity of each piece, guaranteed by our suppliers).
    The shipping document will include the details of the seller (CASAFIKA), the description of the item purchased, and the internal product code.
  2. Every purchase made on the site will be accompanied by a corresponding tax receipt, sent via e-mail.
  3. Should the Customer instead wish to receive the electronic invoice, he/she must expressly request it when placing the order, specifying it in the “notes” field, or by sending an email to [email protected] with all the necessary data: order reference, address, zip code, location, VAT number, tax code, SDI code, PEC address. The invoice will be produced within 10 days from the date of payment, a PDF copy will be anticipated via email.

Insurance rules

  1. In case of damage caused by the carrier, please take photographs immediately and contact us, within 24 hours of receiving the product, sending us photos of the damaged item and the packaging both outside and inside; we will take action to get you compensation according to the relevant laws in force.
  2. You can insure the shipment for the value of the goods. In case of damage the total amount paid to us for the purchase will be refunded. This is a recommended mode in cases of expensive items. In this case the damaged goods will necessarily have to be returned.
  3. If a damaged item is delivered, the customer must necessarily sign the waybill exhibited by the courier with reservation. Otherwise, it will not be possible to make a claim for damages.
  4. It is within the full right of the buyer to check the goods before collection. If the courier does not allow such operations performs a serious fault, our advice in this case is to sign with reservation, specifying that you have been prevented from making checks.
