Designed by Poul Kjærholm in 1955, the “PK22” chairs represent one of the most iconic designs of postwar Danish design. The minimal satin-finished steel frame supports a suspended cognac-colored leather seat, stretched between metal supports according to an essential construction that combines geometric rigor and comfort. The absence of superfluous elements and the balance between industrial materials and natural surfaces reflect Kjærholm’s approach, known for researching proportions and the relationship between steel and leather. Produced by E. Kold Christensen, these seats retain a lived-in patina that enhances the authentic character of the model. Good condition. They show signs of time, particularly on the leather upholstery. Please pay attention to the photographs.
