Designed by Nisse Strinning between the 1950s and 1960s, the “BFB-hyllan” wall shelf represents one of the evolutions of the Scandinavian modular system developed around the String language. The white lacquered metal side frame supports mahogany shelves and drawer, featuring light proportions and careful joinery details. Original “String” and “BFB-hyllan Stockholm Sweden” labels are present. The balance of metal frame and wood surfaces recalls the functional minimalism of mid-twentieth-century Swedish design. Good condition. May show some signs of time. Please pay attention to the photographs.
