Armchair “model 83” designed by Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel and manufactured by S.W. Møbler, a Danish company active after World War II. Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel are among the most prominent designers of the 20th-century Scandinavian scene. Active in both furniture design and textile and industrial design, they helped define an approach oriented toward comfort and the relationship between form and body, with a particular focus on seating. This model, dating from the 1960s, features a wooden frame with sloping legs and a wraparound back that follows the contours of the seat, creating a continuous form. Seat and back are upholstered and reupholstered in light-colored bouclé fabric. Manufacturer’s mark present on the frame: S.W. Møbler – Vejen, Denmark. Good condition. May show some signs of aging. Please pay attention to the photographs.
