Set of eight model “31” chairs designed by Kai Kristiansen for Schou Andersen Møbelfabrik in the 1960s, one of the most iconic examples of Danish mid-century design. Developed in the context of Danish export-oriented production, the model reflects Kristiansen’s focus on compact, lightweight and ergonomic seating. The rosewood frame, with its soft, balanced lines, is distinguished by elegant joint work and a distinctive curved backrest integrated with the armrests. The upholstered seat, covered in cream-colored fabric, creates a refined contrast with the wood. A balance of functionality, craftsmanship and formal clarity. Freshly reupholstered, fully removable cushions. Good condition. They may show slight signs of time. Please pay attention to the photographs.
