Pair of bedside tables produced by A. Chr. Laursen in Nykøbing Falster, a Danish manufacturer active in the mid-twentieth century and known for solid and functional production, linked to the most authentic Scandinavian design language. Made of teak, these nightstands are distinguished by their formal cleanliness and some fine construction details: the tapered legs with crossbeam, visible joints, and the elegant, slightly sloping drop-leaf door, embellished with a metal handle with an essential design. The interior, veneered in light wood, creates a refined color contrast with the warmer exterior. The compact proportions and linearity of the design make them perfectly in line with Danish production of the 1950s, recalling the work of designers such as Børge Mogensen and the manufactures of the time oriented toward functional design without excess. Good condition. May show some signs of time. Please pay attention to the photographs.
