Designed by Erik Wørtz in the 1950s, the “Kolding” sofa interprets Scandinavian postwar modernism with poise, combining light lines and particularly fine teak workmanship. The slender frame highlights the quality of the wood through tapered armrests, tapered legs, and the sloping slatted back, a distinctive feature of the model. The cushions have been recently redone and upholstered in light fabric, in dialogue with the warm shade of teak and the essentiality of the composition. The whole restores the search for comfort and proportion typical of mid-twentieth-century Nordic design. Good condition. May show some signs of time. Please pay attention to the photographs.
