“Variett” modular bookcase designed by Bertil Fridhagen for Bodafors, a fine example of Swedish 1960s design. Teak shelves and cabinetry dialogue with black lacquered uprights and legs, creating an elegant graphic contrast. Brass joints, left visible, emphasize the accuracy of construction. The storage cabinet with sliding doors integrates an almost invisible cantilever handle, emphasizing the purity of the surfaces. The light and airy structure reflects the rational and functional approach typical of mid-century Scandinavian production. Good condition. May show some signs of aging.
