Scandinavian three-seater sofa produced in the 1950s/60s, featuring a teak frame with light and balanced proportions. The design of the frame reflects the essential language of Nordic modernism, with tapered legs, slender armrests and a visually airy construction defined by sharp, well-calibrated lines. The backrest is composed of three separate, slightly inclined elements, a solution that punctuates the sofa’s volume while maintaining a regular, well-rhymed composition even in the rear view. The solid teak armrests have a soft profile that is progressively tapered toward the end, a detail typical of Scandinavian production of the period. The original green mélange fabric upholstery retains a very noticeable textural texture that creates an interesting contrast with the smooth, warm surfaces of the teak. The continuous seat and compact upholstery contribute to the linear and restrained appearance of the whole, accentuating the balance between structural lightness and volumetric presence. Good condition. May show signs of time and slight traces of use consistent with age. Please pay attention to the photographs.
