Wall-mounted bookcase from the “String” series, model BFB-hyllan (also known as “Ladder Shelf”), designed by Nils (Nisse) Strinning in the 1950s-60s. The system consists of two metal uprights onto which six teak veneered shelves are grafted, as well as a lower cabinet with sliding doors. Originally designed in 1949 by Nils and Kajsa Strinning, this configuration is one of the most recognizable examples of the String system, prized for its lightweight construction and ability to organize space in a functional way. Good condition. Shows signs of time, including wear at cabinet corners and slight discoloration on sliding doors. Please observe the photographs carefully.
