Scandinavian teak bar cabinet designed by Axel Christiansen for ACO Möbler in the 1960s, accompanied by the manufacturer’s original label. The composition reflects the language of the more architectural Danish Modern, with clear volumes lightened by the raised structure and carefully calibrated construction in detail. The interior is organized with an adjustable shelf, two lower drawers with dovetailed joints, engraved mirror panel, and suspended bottle compartment with seven circular openings finished in metal, an element that gives the cabinet a strong graphic character. Axel Christiansen developed for ACO Möbler a production oriented toward rigorous forms, quality of construction, and attention to proportion, aspects central to postwar Danish design and the international spread of teak in modernist furniture in the 1960s. Good condition. May show some signs of aging. Please pay attention to the photographs.
