Scandinavian-made modular freestanding bookcase consisting of white lacquered metal uprights, adjustable teak shelves and storage compartment with sliding doors. Lightweight metal grid structures, popular in postwar Nordic design, arose from the need to create versatile, easily reconfigurable furniture suitable for modern domestic spaces. The combination of geometric linearity and warm wooden surfaces recalls the essential Scandinavian Modern language of the 1950s and 1960s. Good condition. May show some signs of time.
