Scandinavian teak bookcase from the 1950s/60s, characterized by an essential and well-proportioned design. The structure consists of a lower cabinet with hinged doors, raised on tapered legs with brass ferrules. The interior of the cabinet features a shelf and two small drawers, providing functional space for organization. The top of the bookcase is open with exposed shelves, and defined by slightly flared sides, a formal detail that accentuates the verticality and elegance of the profile. The warm teak grain and linear construction reflect the search for balance between functionality and sophistication that characterizes Scandinavian design after World War II. Good condition.
