European production from the 1950s traceable to the language of Mid-Century Modern, characterized by an asymmetrical organic form, often referred to as “bean-shaped.” The shaped brass frame follows a continuous, soft profile, emphasizing the irregular design of the mirror surface. This typology was widespread in postwar home furnishings, an expression of free, non-geometrical formal research. The wooden panel back has a hook for wall mounting. Good condition.
